How does a house become a home?
A house is a structure with four walls and a roof. A home is much more than this. A home is an extension of who we are. It shows our style. It fulfills our needs. It provides a picture to the community of who lives there. Each and every home is unique. Homeowners buying, selling or staying in their home can make personal changes to reflect who they are. Extend kitchen cabinets to the ceiling for added storage. Re-purpose base cabinets with pull-out drawers to hold just about anything. Think about installing uniquely designed moldings, or wainscoting. Convert that "spare" room into a home office, media room or library hideaway for some quiet time. Add a custom designed "heirloom" piece of furniture to match an already decorated room. These are just a few examples of modestly prices projects to make your house your home.

Small Improvements, Big Benefits
The winter months seem to bring more "stuff" out of the closets and drawers, such as boots, gloves, and hats for cold weather. Books, magazines, and toys are scattered around by those of us suffering from cabin fever. It's time to reduce the stress and clutter brought on by the season. How about some custom accessories, like bookshelves, magazine racks, mail sorters/organizers, and storage chests for the bedroom, mud room or playroom. Maybe you would like an entire closet makeover. Give Tom a call to discuss ideas for custom wood products built by Black Sheep Woodworking. You would be amazed at the big benefits you can get from making small improvements to your home.
